      This beautiful hand colored botanical plate is from a book on British wild flowers illustrated by John Sowerby. This book plate being from an edition published in 1914. These plates were all hand finished in colour. A very time consuming job I would imagine.

      There is a page of text that will accompany this print that describes each of the 20 plants.

      The size of page is approx. 9.7 x 6.3 inches.
